They will mess around in little bits instead of large droppings. Constipation is caused by incorrect feedings like not taking enough water or dehydration. Overfeeding or unrestricted feeding results in obesity which may also result from diabetes and hepatitis. Hepatitis occurs when deguââ¬â¢s diet contains too much of protein or fat. Degu may also become lethargic and stressful resulting in temperament changes and weakness, a condition called anorexia caused by malnutrition or deficiency of vitamin C. However, excess of vitamin C causes breeding problems like a reproductive failure in male degus. Stress or lack of iron in the diet ma y result in alopecia that causes fur loss. Imbalanced diet for longer periods may also result in deguââ¬â¢s death. To prevent these problems, deguââ¬â¢s diet must be moderated according to the recommended 10 grams of food for a degu per day. Diet should not be high in protein, fat, and sugar. Water should always be available for him. It is important not to breed from degus who have had diabetes in their history. TQM IMPELEMENTION Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
TQM IMPELEMENTION - Essay Example The leaders rely on the assumption that punishment and reward modes are the most effective motivators at a work place. They actively engage in rewarding hardworking workers in a given organization without understanding the need of engaging in such activity (Edwards, 1994). Severe punishment measures introduced at the work place, for instance, in a given organization to curb the act of laziness, therefore, ensuring almost equal output in the organization. Such an assumption positively boasts the general outcome of the organization without the leaderââ¬â¢s knowledge of it. The leaders engage in optimizing every process area in an organization, which leads to the optimization of the entire organization with time thus ensuring growth and stability in an organization. The managers or leaders, further, engage in the assumption that better results achieved by setting specific objectives within the organization. The set objectives within an organization foster stiff competition among work ers at the workplace to ensure the set objectives attained thus brings positive success in the organization. ... Further, competition as an assumption steps in because it is a necessary aspect in the day to day life. Managers who fail to accept that competition in a given organization cannot be avoided fail to effectively manage their organizations to the required standards. With this in place, the managers require a theory to act as a guide in order to realize the importance of quality management, as stated in the above assumptions, for the success of their organizations in the future market place. According to Edwards Deming theory of profound management, called the system of profound knowledge, the theory explores the current style of management undergoing revolution. It further explores the system of profound knowledge, which provides a map of theory to understand in details the organization we work for. The theory relates to the above discussion because it focuses on the transformation of an individual in a given organization in order to continuously teach other people, to become a good li stener, and help people to pull away from their current beliefs and practices. The Edwards Deming theory of system of profound knowledge directed to the leaders or managers in a given organization basing on the assumptions provided (Edwards, 1994). The profound knowledge appeals to managers or leaders appearing in four parts, such as in psychology, variation knowledge, system appreciation, and theory of knowledge practice. A manager needs to fully understand the four parts of the profound knowledge in order to fully apply in the process of transforming from the present Western management style to that of optimization. The four parts of the profound knowledge cannot be separated thus should work hand in hand for
U.S. foreign policy Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
U.S. foreign policy - Essay Example It is an observation that foreign policy of the US plays a crucial role in functions and operations of different countries around the globe, and this has been the reason of significant importance of different aspects of US foreign policy in international media and research. This paper is a similar attempt to analyze one of the major stakeholders of US foreign policy: public. In particular, the paper includes discussion and analysis of the perspective as whether public opinion matters in the decision-making process of US foreign policy or not. The paper includes different studies and reports that will be very beneficial in comprehensive understanding and validation of the discussion. Introduction In a democratic nationââ¬â¢s foreign policy, decisions are likely to be taken by the citizens and in support of the citizens. Governments are answerable to the citizens and the public would not clash, in view of the fact that it is public who finally pay the price and suffer for the most pa rt. Efforts of one government to control significant foreign policies of another by disturbing public opinion within that nation are not new to global relations. The British tried to influence United States view in support of joining both World Wars during the twentieth century. The issue of whether such efforts actually matter, however, stays open. United States public diplomacy throughout the post-9/11 phase certainly influenced by public opinion; however, the result is conditional on United States leadersââ¬â¢ trustworthiness in front of public... As a result, a foreign policy maker must be responsive to these restraints, master them, and rise above them, changing them to his or her determination (Hunt, p. 98, 2009). It is generally acknowledged by both researchers as well as the politicians that the balanced option is the leading approach to foreign policy making. This approach consists of identification and description of the problem; selection of objective; recognition of substitutes; and choice. Discussion In the foreign policy making procedure, the decision maker is not different to any normal human being who, after assessing the case, usually selects those measures, which almost certainly would attain the most excellent result. However, in the concept of rationalism, the rational is frequently puzzled with truth. If a foreign policy goes wrong, it is said that the decision makers worked unreasonably. However, whether correct or incorrect, if the decision was an act of study it can barely be unreasonable. Some that decisi on makers perform reasonably in conditions when they are stressed mainly in emergency, because in these circumstances, they have to be careful about their actions (Spanier & Hook, p. 395, 2009). The topic of public opinion along with its power in foreign policy has been an issue of argument both in and since the cold war between pragmatists and moderates. Arguments in favor of pragmatist view ââ¬Ëcan be found back in the eighteenth centuryââ¬â¢. ââ¬Å"Edmund Burke a political philosopher contended that ââ¬ËA representativeââ¬â¢s unbiased opinion, his mature judgment, his enlightened conscience, he ought not to sacrifice to you, to any man, or to any set of men living. Your representative owes you, not his industry

MTA-analysis method Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
MTA-analysis method - Essay Example Therefore, the method involves two distinct stages. The first stage involves identifying different data sets and summarizing the data into a uniform set. The second stage involves making conclusions from the summarized data set. Meta-analysis requires that the data is accurate and devoid of any complications. It will not be efficient if it uses inaccurate data. In addition, the method requires the analyst to identify and collect data sets from past studies, which have some aspects of resemblance in terms of the research question they address. The method is particularly effective because it draws conclusions from data characteristics rather than making generalized conclusions about data. However, the method requires planning and some level of expertise among analysts. Advantages of meta-analysis The approach defines subjective ways of checking variability of data and enables testing of all statistical parameters. Combination of different studies summarizes data and ensures the ease of drawing conclusions from the data. Other parties can also use the data to support their studies. Review of past studies eliminates unnecessary details that are insignificant to the study. Meta-analysis makes possible the prediction of the impact of significant elements of data within a specified period (Cavanaugh, 2010). Review of past studies eliminates the threat of bias sampling. ... Researchers have found this method convenient in analyzing educational research. A single research on education can yield a range of different results due to a number of factors. Different research methods, the setting of the research and research instruments influence the nature of results (Allen, Bourhis, Burrell & Mabry, 2010). Therefore, there is a need to combine the different results and synthesize them into a single pool, from which it is easy to make viable conclusions. Meta-analysis is the best method that will help in meeting this data requirement. Furthermore, it summarizes data, which makes it possible for other researchers to extract useful information that may be relevant for their studies (Bernard, Abrami & Wozney, 2010). To understand this method, there is a need to look at the steps, methods and theories that govern its use. Steps followed in a meta-analysis The first step involves identifying the research problem. This includes identifying the variables and attribut es that are common in different data sets. The search for relevant literature sources succeeds the first stage. This stage involves identifying sources of information from available literature reviews and other relevant studies. Meta-analysis depends on other research studies and a researcher must ensure that the results of previous studies are accurate before using them in meta-analysis. The next stage involves selecting previous studies that meet the requirements of quality and that have some resemblance in addressing the same research question. Summarization of data using appropriate methods follows this stage. Summarization standardizes data

Contract Law Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words - 5
Contract Law - Essay Example In the case of Bell,3 the court ascertained that in the event of an occurrence of common mistakes that undermines the subject of the agreement it renders that contract void. The law recognizes three types of common mistakes namely, res extincta, res sua and mistake on the basis of quality and personality of the subject matter of the contract. Res axtincta is a common mistake where the parties enter into a contract to acquire something that does that both parties are unaware of its non-existence.4 res sua is a common mistake where one party forms an agreement with the other to acquire the interest in something already that party has, but without the knowledge of either party. Finally, a common mistake on the basis of quality is where the parties form an agreement to perform something different from what they thought it was.5 A common mistake can limit the parties to the contract from reaching an agreement because the parties are incapable of establishing corresponding offer and acceptance on an essential issue of the agreement.6 Also, even when parties have reached an agreement, there is a shared mistake in relation to the associated circumstance. Under the English Common law, the common mistakes might undermine the contract by rendering it completely void.7 However, unless the issues are serious it might not be necessary for the parties to seek legal intervention, even though, the parties could not have entered into the agreement had they known the true position at the time they were forming the contract.8 Equitable jurisdiction refers to a structure of integrity considered to enhance the common law by taking action in an equitable and rational manner that results in just outcome.9 Under equitable jurisdiction, the parties to the contract are prohibited from enforcing their legal rights in case it was unacceptable for them to do so. The essence of equitable jurisdiction is to ensure no party takes

Things That Drive Me Crazy Essay Example for Free
Things That Drive Me Crazy Essay Going to the gym to work out after a full day of classes is my chance to unplug and escape from the dayââ¬â¢s tension. Once I warm up and begin to get pumped, I head right into my exercise zone and donââ¬â¢t want to be distracted. However nothing irks me more than someone using a cellphone while working out. There are signs everywhere asking patrons to avoid using electronic devices but some people completely ignore them. Listening to a girl carry on a loud lengthy conversation about her boyfriend infuriates me. Not only does conversations about peopleââ¬â¢s personal lives irate me it canââ¬â¢t be safe. I mean do these people come to the gym to work out or talk on their phones? People have this ridiculous sense of self-importance, where all the other people trying to exercise in peace for an hour dont matter. Even more exasperating is the guy sitting on a weight bench talking about all the money he is making while others are waiting to use the equipment. I have tried giving people like this a nasty glare in the hopes they would take the hint. Nonetheless they continue with their conversations ignoring me. I was recently in a cycling class and a girl actually got off of her bike to answer her phone during the class. Are you kidding me? I donââ¬â¢t get it. You make time to get to the gym, set up for the class, get into the zone and get off your bike to answer a phone. Forty-five minutes to take a class and you canââ¬â¢t resist the temptation to answer your phone? Shut if off already. There really is no way to deal with situation except wear earphones, which I started doing. Some people complain to management and signs have been posted yet the situation continues a friend of mine told me the same situation exists at his gym and nothing is done about it.
